Plot

Scarface (1983) follows the story of Tony Montana, a Cuban refugee who arrives in Miami with nothing. Driven by ambition and ruthlessness, Tony partners with his friend Manny Ray to climb the criminal underworld. They start working for drug lord Frank Lopez, but Tony’s hunger for power leads him to betray and overthrow Frank, taking control of his empire. As Tony’s wealth and influence grow, so does his paranoia and addiction to cocaine. His reckless decisions alienate those closest to him, including his sister Gina and wife Elvira. Tony’s empire begins to crumble when he refuses to follow orders from powerful drug lord Alejandro Sosa. This defiance leads to a violent assault on his mansion. Despite a fierce last stand, Tony is ultimately killed by Sosa’s hitmen, illustrating the devastating consequences of his unbridled ambition and moral decay.
