Plot
John Wick: Chapter 2 continues the saga of the legendary assassin. After reclaiming his stolen car, John hopes to return to retirement. However, his plans are interrupted when Italian crime lord Santino D’Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) calls in a blood oath marker, forcing John to repay an old debt. The assignment requires John to assassinate Santino’s sister, Gianna, so Santino can take her seat at the High Table, the powerful council that governs the criminal underworld. John reluctantly agrees, but once the deed is done, Santino betrays him and puts a massive bounty on his head. Hunted across New York by waves of assassins, John must fight for survival while uncovering deeper layers of the underworld’s rules and hierarchy. The film expands the franchise’s mythology, features dazzlingly choreographed action, and introduces new allies and enemies. With Keanu Reeves’ intense performance, the sequel solidified John Wick as a modern action masterpiece.
