Plot

In Sinners, set in 1932 in the Mississippi Delta, twin brothers Smoke and Stack (both played by Michael B. Jordan) return to their dilapidated hometown to try and leave their troubled pasts behind. They hope to start anew, opening a juke joint and reconnecting with community and family—but the shadows of their history follow them. On opening night, their blues performances draw attention not just for the music, but for something far more ominous: an ancient evil lurks in their hometown. A clan of white vampires, led by the sinister Remmick, senses Smoke and Stack’s presence and seeks to reclaim power over a land they believe to be theirs by right. As revenge and survival intertwine, the twins are forced into confrontation—both with external supernatural forces and internal guilt, secrets, and betrayals. The story weaves together musical soul, Gothic horror, racial terror, family ties and moral reckoning in a brutal, beautiful crescendo where every note, every shadow, and every betrayal counts
