Plot

When the UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) and US President Will Derringer (John Cena)—who have a very public rivalry—are forced to work together, things rapidly devolve into mayhem. Their conflict begins at a public event but escalates when they travel to a NATO summit aboard Air Force One. A foreign adversary attacks the plane, it’s shot down, and both leaders survive but are stranded behind enemy lines (Belarus), presumed dead by the world. Along with MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must go on a high-stakes escape/mission to uncover and stop a conspiracy threatening global surveillance and stability. They tussle with arms dealers, hackers, traitors, and assassins, all while forced to overcome distrust, difference in style, and political baggage. The journey pushes them out of their comfort zones—Derringer’s showman-style presidential image and Clarke’s disciplined, rule-bound temperament—and toward an unlikely partnership to save not just themselves, but the world order.
