Plot

Into the Wild (2007) tells the true story of Christopher McCandless, a young man who, after graduating from college, abandons his possessions, donates his savings to charity, and sets out on a journey across America to find meaning and freedom in the wild. Renaming himself “Alexander Supertramp,” Chris embarks on a cross-country adventure that takes him through various landscapes and introduces him to a series of characters who impact his life profoundly.
